If you’ve found us you’ve been digging deep, searching for something different; something unique, hip, exclusive, chic. A place that buzzes via genuine old fashioned word of mouth. A place visited by groovy, choosy people… like you.

200 year old Leopoldina stone villa in tuscany
An historic, square, brick and stone villa on a bluff, with long, long views. Dating from around 1750, abandoned since the 1940’s, a beautiful plundered ruin transformed into a blissful hideaway by it’s English owners. Restored to forever-house specifications, with a sculptor’s eye and a design-loving purse, the spirit and layout of the property stay true to it’s Tuscan country house heart. Only 4 luxurious bedrooms. So much space. Large open retreat and socializing zones within on both floors. Outside: Walled Tuscan country garden. Nature. Soft lawns to pad about on. Large salt water pool with breezes and views. Comfort and escape whatever the weather.

Located well for a sight seeing vacation – but also idyllic for staying home.  Recommended for unconventional Tuscany explorers, pre-wedding retreats and honeymooners, designer shoppers, wine tasters, hill town climbers, chic city window-shoppers, Florence day trippers, romantic weekend away stay-at-homers, and easy connections for Rome and Florence.  If you can’t decide which gorgeous Tuscan hill town to base yourselves in then this might also be the spot for you.

THE TELEGRAPH: ‘Siena House is in Siena province, one of the most highly sought after areas of Tuscany, but it is still affordable.  It is a strikingly contemporary farmhouse B&B in very agricultural countryside a few miles north of Montepulciano, run by an English couple’ ~ Lee Marshall.

INDAGARE MAGAZINE: ‘A perfect launch pad to towns like Cortona to the east and Montepulciano and Siena to the north west, this 18th-century villa proves refreshingly contemporary on the inside even as it remains perfectly Tuscan country on the outside[….]the kind of setting that you might find at a stylish friend’s home, plus the sort of insider recommendations of where to eat and what to see nearby that can only be culled from ten years of experience in the area’ ~ Ondine Cohane.

Whilst there was an overall top ten for Tuscany on TRIP ADVISOR (until 2014) Siena House was #2; long term second only to the place that was twice rated best B&B in the world CASA PORTAGIOIA in the province of Arezzo.  During that time we were # 1 of 501 B&B in the Province of Siena (Zone including Siena City, San Gimigano, Gaiole and Castellina in Chianti, Val d’Orcia & Crete Senese, Montepuliciano & Chianciano Terme).
