Swim, Relax and Soak Up the Tuscan Views
Our Saltwater Pool & Garden
At the heart of a relaxed day at Siena House is our outdoor space: a large saltwater swimming pool set within soft lawns, framed by olive terraces, rosemary and cypress, with long views across the Tuscan countryside. It’s where days begin with breakfast in the morning light and end watching the sun go down.

A Large Saltwater Pool
Our swimming pool is saltwater rather than chlorine — gentler on skin and eyes, and a more natural way to swim. At nearly 100m² (7 by 14 metres), there’s plenty of room to swim properly or simply cool off on a hot afternoon. It sits in a sheltered, scenic spot that stays private and quiet, set within soft, lush lawns.
- Saltwater, not chlorine — softer on skin, eyes and hair
- Nearly 100m² (7 × 14 m) — a generous size for swimming or relaxing
- Fully fenced and enclosed — sheltered, private and secure
- Australian ‘Shade Sails’ filter 95% of UV light, giving cool, shaded space beside the water
- Surrounded by lawns, rosemary and far-reaching countryside views
The wind-proof shade sails extend over the south-west lawn and terrace too, so there’s always somewhere comfortable to sit out of the strong Tuscan sun — whether you’re reading, dozing or keeping an eye on children in the water.

A Rustic Tuscan Garden
Our garden is simple and natural by design, made to frame the landscape rather than compete with it. Grass and woody herbs surround the villa, with olive terraces and saffron fields falling away below. Cypress trees line the entrance, rosemary bushes frame the pool, and the whole space is quietly aromatic in the warmth of the day. It’s a working part of the property as much as a beautiful one — much of what appears at breakfast comes from the orchard and terraces around you.
Breakfast in the Garden
On warmer mornings, breakfast is served outside on the shaded south-west terrace — fresh bread, patisserie and orchard preserves in the soft morning light. It’s one of the loveliest moments of the day, and a gentle way to plan where the hours ahead might take you.

Golden Hour & Sunsets
Through the summer, guests often time their return to catch the sunset — and the garden has no shortage of idyllic spots to watch the sun slip below the hills, bathing the landscape in gold. For new arrivals, that final hour before sunset is a must: the warm, low light over the garden and villa is something most guests remember long after they’ve left.
A Place to Slow Down
However you spend it — a long swim, a sun-drenched breakfast, an afternoon with a book and a glass of something local — our pool and garden are made for slowing down and soaking up the views. For many guests, the lazy days spent here are exactly what they remember most.

Stay at Siena House
